RICARDS STRAUHS

Born in 1959. Professional training: Riga Applied Arts School (1975-1979). 

Design Department at the Latvian Academy of Arts (1979-1985).

Contributor to exhibitions since 1979. A member of the Artists' Union of Latvia as of 1986. Master of Fine Arts.
A member of the Design' Union of Latvia as of 1989. A member of the Theatre' Union of Latvia as of 2002. Several personal exhibitions in Latvia, Russia, Germany and France. Group exhibitions in Riga, Vilnius,

Moscow, St. Petersburgh, Italy, Finland, the Netherlands, the United States, France, and Australia. 

Several monumental paintings to his credit in Latvia and beyond its borders.
His works are to be found in the collections of Artists' Union of Latvia, in the collection of Gederts Eliass Art and History Museum. Russian Art Fund, as well as in private collections in Latvia, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Finland, the Czech Republic, the United States, Canada, Denmark and the Netherlands.
