GEORGS SMELTERS
Born in 1942. Professional training – Janis
Rozentals Art School of Riga (1953 – 1964), Latvian
Academy of Arts, Graphic Art Departmen (1964 – 1970)
– under the supervision of prof. A. Goltjakovs.
Has been contributing to exhibitions since 1965. Member
of Latvian Artists' Union since 1973. Member of
Association "B – 13" since 1993.
Has participated regularly in various exhibitions in
Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Poland, Germany, Italy,
Sweden and elsewhere.
Has received awards in the competitions and exhibitions
of prints.
Currently teaching at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
