ROBERTS MUZIS
Born in 1944. Professional training –
Janis Rozentals Art School of Riga (1955 – 1962),
Latvian Academy of Arts, Painting Department (1962 –
1967) – under the supervision of Prof. E. Kalnins.
Enhanced his skills at the St. Petersburg Art Academy
(1982).
Has been contributing to exhibitions since
1970. Member of Latvian Artists' Union since 1975. Member
of Association "B – 13" since 1993.
Has had more than ten solo shows in Latvia
and Germany. Has par- ticipated regularly in group
exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Germany,
Sweden, England, Denmark and elsewhere.
His works are to be found in the
collections of the State Art Museum and Latvian Artists'
Union, Ministry of Culture of Russia and R.Russian Art
Fund, as well as in many private collections in Latvia
and abroad.
Currently professor at the Latvian Academy
of Arts.
