ZARINS KASPARS

Born in 1962. Professional training – Janis Rozentals Art School of Riga (1973 – 1980), Latvian Academy of Arts, Painting Department (1980 – 1986) – under the supervision of prof. I. Zarins. Master of Fine Arts.
Has been contributing to exhibitions since 1979. Member of Latvian Artists' Union since 1987. Member of Association "B – 13" (1993 - 1998) since 1993.
Had his solo show in Riga in 1993 (together with Vija Zarina). Regularly participates in group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Sweden, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Austria, Netherlands and other countries. Has created several monumental paintings in Latvia and beyond its borders.
His works are to be found in the collections of Latvian Artists' Union and Russian Art Fund, Pharmaceuticals' Company in Stockholm and Norrkoping Art Museum in Sweden, as well as in private collections in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Germany, France, Denmark, England, Sweden.
Currently professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
