OSVALDS ZVEJSALNIEKS
Born in 1944. Professional training:
Art Education Department at the Latvian Academy of Arts (1963 - 1971).
Master of Fine Arts.
Contributor to exhibitions since 1971. A member of the Artists' Union
of Latvia as of 1976. A member of the B - 13 Association (1993
- 1998) since 1993.
Above twenty personal exhibitions in Riga and other cities of Latvia.
Group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Germany, and Japan.
His works are to be found in several museums at home and abroad, as
well as in private collections.
Professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts and Head of the Latgale section
of the Artists' Union.
"Painting, as I see it, is an emotionally
saturated color. It is this emotionally charged color that is an only
sign of good painting."
