PETERIS POSTAZS

Born in 1940. Professional training: Janis Rozentals Art School of Riga (1954 - 1958), Painting Department at the Latvian Academy of Arts (1958 - 1964) under the supervision of professor E. Kalnins. Improvement course at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.
Contributor to exhibitions since 1965. A member of the Artists' Union of Latvia as of 1968. A member of the B - 13 Association (1993 - 1998) since 1993.
About ten personal exhibitions in Riga and other towns of Latvia. Participation in group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Austria and elsewhere.
His works are to be found in the collections of the State Art Museum and Artists' Union of Latvia, Ministry of Culture of Russia and Russian Art Fund, as well as in many private collections in Latvia and abroad.
Currently professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
