EDVINS KALNENIEKS

Born in 1939. Professional training: Liepaja Applied Arts School (1953 - 1958), Painting Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts (1958 - 1964) under the supervision of professor E. Kalnins.
Contributor to exhibitions since 1966. A member of the Artists' Union of Latvia as of 1970. A participant of group exhibitions in Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kiev, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Germany, Japan and other countries. He also has several personal exhibitions to his credit.
His works are to be found in the State Art Museum and Artists' Union of Latvia, Jelgava Art Museum, Ministry of Culture of Russia, Russian Art Fund and Novosibirsk Art Museum, as well as in many private collections in Latvia and abroad.
Holds a teaching post at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
