IVARS HEINRIHSONS

Born in 1945. Professional training: Janis Rozentals Art School of Riga (1957 - 1964), Departments of Art History and Painting at the Latvian Academy of Arts (1967 - 1973) under the supervision of professor E. Kalnins.
Contributor to exhibitions since 1973. A member of the Artists' Union of Latvia as of 1978. A member of the B - 13 Association (1993 - 1998) since 1993.
He has several personal and group exhibitions to his credit in Riga Moscow, St. Petersburg, New York, Chicago, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Madrid, Toronto, as well as international fairs in Bologna, Frankfurt, and Geneva.
His works are to be found in the collections of the State Art Museum and Artists' Union of Latvia, Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Friedeman Stockart Gallery in Munich, and in private collections throughout the world.
A prize-winner at the painting triennial in Vilnius (1981), a medal and Honorary Mention from the Latvian Artists' Union in 1987.
Currently professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
